A little about Chang

Thomas is a native of Taiwan. He received his B.S. degree from Tunghai University in Taiwan. Thomas started his career as a teaching assistant for Reproductive Physiology at the University of Massachussetts in 1991. He assisted students in their study and understanding of the reproductive organs, gametes (sperm and eggs), embryos and the technologies used for enhancing fertility related issues. In 1992 Thomas took a position as a Research Assistant at Transgenic Science in Massachusetts. In 1995 he took a position at Anderson Hospital in Taiwan as their Embryologist. At Anderson Hospital he performed all aspects of ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) including Andrology and Embryology. Thomas found he enjoyed the United States and took a position as the Lab Supervisor at Genetics and IVF Institute of Ohio. During his time as Lab Supervisor he was very successful in being the first to establish ICSI pregnancy in 1996.

He also supervised Intrauterine Insemination and Embryo Freezing. He has helped many couples with severe male factor infertility and helped them to have successful pregnancies. He is exceptional in performing sperm micro manipulation (ICSI) and he has been doing Vitrification (a newer form of Cryopreservation of eggs and embryos) since 2007.

Thomas and his wife , Kit, met in Hawaii in Waikiki at the shaved ice shack. It was love at first sight. they have been married for 8 wonderful years. they share their lives with their two beautiful little boys. They love spending time in the sun exploring the world around them. They also enjoy watching movies together as a family.
