The above list can be related to a number of different issues.  Natural hormone therapy often will significantly improve, if not eliminate, these symptoms and allow other issues to be more easily isolated and identified.

Men, as they age, go through a process called andropause (the male equivalent to menopause) which results in similar symptoms.  The average male has a 10% drop in testosterone every 10 years.  Some men as they age begin to convert testosterone to estrogen which causes breast enlargement, reduced muscle mass, and enlargement of their prostate gland.  This process can be reversed if appropriately identified and treated by appropriate hormone therapy.

Some women are more symptomatic than others during the years just prior to, during, and after menopause, and need not suffer as they do.  Other women experience these symptoms earlier in life, most notably in the post-partum period.  Appropriate hormone replacement is the answer to improving such symptoms as well as improving one's youthful vigor.

Many do not realize that women using natural testosterone actually can reduce health risks, as testosterone inhibits breast cancer development in almost all breast cancer cell lines.  It is therefore somewhat protective in addition to its other benefits of improving energy, raising libido, reducing depression and in general helps one feel better.

Studies on hormone replacement therapy several years ago scared many women, young and old, from taking hormones.  The Women's Health Initiative Study was one of the key sources of this new concern.  This study utilized women over 60 and began them on animal-derived estrogens and synthetically developed progesterone.  This increased risk of heart attack and stroke using these manufactured hormones severly effected 8 out of 10,000 users.  Such hormones have very different activities in the human body, and are often opposite to those found from bio-equivalent hormone sources.

The oral forms of animal and synthetic estrogen, progestin, and testosterone hormones do raise the blood clotting risk, increased vessel wall inflamation, bind and block androgen (testosterone) receptors, are converted to other metabolites and create liver problems.

Natural estradiol and testosterone, on the other hand, do not increase breast cancer, stroke or heart attack risk and has been found to reduce blood vessel inflammation.

Natural hormones come in gels, creams, capsules, injections, suppositories, trouche, drops, and pellets.  The most effective natural hormones with the least amount of variability are in the form of compressed pellets which can be inserted under the skin.

Bio-equivalent hormones are derived from plant sources such as soy and are compounded to be biologically equivalent to human estradiol and testosterone.

These hormone pellets are near the size of a grain of rice and have a continual release of the natural hormone over a period of 4-6 months.  Appropriate blood testing is performed prior to insertion to determine the dosages best suited for each individual.
